Eighth Grade Visit

Eighth Grade Visit

Eighth graders from surrounding schools took a trip to visit Bath Career and Technical Center on Thursday, January 18th, and Friday January 19th. As these students prepare to venture on to their respective high schools next year, guidance counselors, teachers, and administrators alike hope to present all possible options for these eager learners, and career and technical education is a great place to start!

While some students tried to soothe crying babies in the Early Childhood program, others had the chance to bake a mug cake in Culinary Arts. Kids who chose to visit automotive class checked tire PSI and tire tread depth. All people who visited Welding had a chance to mig weld, and the health science students experienced how to make mock wounds, just like the ones seen in popular television series The Walking Dead. There were several other hands on experience in Graphic Design, Engineering, and Carpentry class.

The hope is that these students will learn early on what kinds of opportunities are available for them when they reach high school.
